HUN-REN Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics
HUN-REN Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics (RENYI) is an independent legal entity in the organizational framework of the Loránd Eötvös Research Network and is located in Budapest. Ever since the launching of the European Commission's FP5 program, the Institute has extended experience in handling larger scale grants; in the past decade it hosted 9 Lendület(Momentum) grants (given by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences), 19 Marie Curie and Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions and 10 ERC grants. Currently it runs one prestigious ERC Synergy Grant, 2 Advanced Grants, 1 Consolidator Grant and 3Marie-Sklodowska-Curie projects. The Institute’s 11 research divisions and further 14, mostly project funded research groups cover the most important topics in mathematics, including graph limit theory and various areas of combinatorics. The Institute regularly runs summer schools for young researchers, seminars, lecture series, and major conferences, sometimes with hundreds of participants. Renyi will help the newly come international ERSs with visa applications, in finding accommodation, supporting and mentoring them with integration measures in an inclusive atmosphere.
