Universita degli Studi di Napoli Federico II

The Universita degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (UNINA) is one of the oldest academic institutions in the world having been funded in 1224 by Frederick II of Swaben. The principal aim of the University of Naples is to further knowledge. The University fosters the cultural, social and economic development of the nation. It encourages cooperation among Universities across Europe and the rest of the world. The research and training activities within the BeyondTheEdge project will be carried out by the Nonlinear Systems, Networks and Control Research Group (SINCRO) at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at UNINA. The SINCRO group includes 5 faculty members and 10 research fellows and PhD students working on research topics related to the project. The research activities of the group are aimed at contributing to the development and application of modern modelling, analysis and control strategies for the solution of control problems in Engineering and Synthetic Biology. The group has an extensive know-how on the synthesis of control strategies for nonlinear dynamical systems and complex networks and the analysis of bifurcations and structural stability of nonlinear systems
