Aix Marseille Université

Aix Marseille Université (AMU), created in 2012, results from the merger of the University of Provence, University of the Mediterranean and Paul Cézanne University. It has more than 80,000 students including 10,000 international students, 8,000 faculty and staff members, 12 doctoral schools. AMU is home to 121 research facilities linked to France’s biggest research institutions (CNRS, INSERM, IRD,INRA, CEA). It has undertaken the HRS4R labeling process since 2019 and is coordinator of the Erasmus + European University Network “CIVIS”. AMU is atop-class higher education and research institution.  AMU has a strong experience in managing European projects and has well-established administrative support to facilitate project implementation. In 2012, AMU adopted the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. Regarding gender equality, AMU follows the regulations and principles stated by the European Union and shares them, not only to eliminate inequalities, but also to promote equality.  he Centre de Physique Théorique (CPT, UMR 7332, Marseille, France) is one of the largest theoretical physics laboratories in France, with about 50 permanent researchers divided into 8 teams whose research topics cover fundamental interactions, statistical physics and condensed matter, classical and quantum dynamics. The BeyondTheEdge project is hosted in the “statistical physics and complex systems” team, whose activities include the study of complex systems and networks, with methods going from analytical tools to numerical simulations and empirical data analysis.
